Textbook Adoptions
Summer and winter faculty should contact the academic department administrators for textbook ordering assistance. Quantities ordered are determined by the course capacity. Department chairs generally complete final approval for university course textbook selection. Textbook desk copies can be ordered directly from the publisher.
Textbook order requests for summer session courses must be submitted by March for orders to be placed in May. Textbook order requests for winter session courses must be submitted by October for orders to be placed in December.
If you are teaching at the Shady Grove location, you will receive an email detailing textbook adoptions at Shady Grove.
For further assistance, contact the UMBC Bookstore at 410/455-2699, email textbook@umbc.edu or visit their website: bookstore.umbc.edu. You can also access the Online Textbook Adoption site here: Online Textbook Adoption.
