Student Course Evaluations

Student course evaluations are an important part of our commitment to excellence and innovation in teaching and learning. The feedback provided by students helps faculty members and administrators continually improve our courses and the quality of instruction at UMBC. The Student Evaluation of Educational Quality (SEEQ) is a validated, open source, online survey instrument used to collect student evaluations of university teaching and instruction. The online SEEQ’s are open to students 24/7 during the last week of each summer and session. SEEQ’s will close at midnight on the last day of the session . While students may complete the SEEQ anytime during the open period, faculty are encouraged to provide 10 minutes of class time to complete the survey. If in-class time is not feasible, faculty are asked to remind students of the open survey dates and encourage them to complete the online SEEQ outside of class.
