ADP – Course Designer Track

The Course Designer Track is available to full- or part-time faculty who meet the competency requirements of the Skill Builder track who agree to convert an in-person course to hybrid or online delivery and then offer the course in an upcoming summer and/or winter session. To apply, interested faculty must submit a detailed course proposal to a selection committee and confirm department chair support. The Course Designer track typically requires at least a full semester for course development before the redesigned course is offered in summer or winter session. It includes a one day training workshop and an opportunity to work one-on-one with an Instructional Designer in the Division of Information Technology (DoIT). Faculty selected for the Course Designer Track should have prior experience teaching in summer or winter sessions and should propose courses that have a demonstrated enrollment “track record” in prior summer or winter sessions to ensure course viability. Faculty who successfully complete the Course Designer Track requirements will receive a stipend of $3500.
