All faculty are encouraged to get a UMBC campus card. UMBC Campus Cards provide access to a number of on-campus facilities from library borrowing privileges to use of the campus recreation facilities. In addition, monetary credit can be applied to the card, which can then be used to purchase food, copy services, and other items on campus.
To obtain a faculty/staff identification card visit the Office of Campus Card and Mail Services located in the University Center, 1st Floor. Bring a driver’s license or other form of personal identification as well as verification of employment.
Three methods of employment verification are accepted:
- A memo from your department chair on university letterhead with the faculty member’s name, social security number, position description, and date of employment.
- Written employment verification from UMBC’s Human Resources Office (Administration Building, 5th floor).
- A signed copy of your contract of employment issued by the Office of Summer, Winter & Special Programs.
Campus Card office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. For assistance, visit campuscard.umbc.edu.
