Blackboard (Bb) is UMBC’s course management system for faculty and students. All summer/winter instructors must activate their Blackboard shells before they can be used. Blackboard shells are typically created in late April for summer session classes and late November for winter session classes. Once the Blackboard shells have been created, an announcement is posted to DoIT News.
